If you find that you’re constantly coughing or sneezing or experiencing joint pain, headaches, nausea or skin rashes, it may not be the flu or the weather but rather the air in your home.

“Our houses are making us sick,” asserts John Bower, a Unionville, Ind., builder and author of “The Healthy House.”

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) agrees, noting that Americans spend on average about 90 percent or more of their time indoors, where pollutant levels may be two to five times (and possibly more than 100 times) as high as the levels outdoors.
